Senior Librarian / Administrative Officer
Dr P Nageswara Rao presently working as Senior Librarian and successfully guided 6 Ph.D., scholars in Library and Information Science from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Organised national level workshops and seminars in SETS. Authored One Book and Edited 6 Books. Published number of research papers (34 Journal Articles, 44 Conference Papers, 8 Book Chapters). Recipient of 3 Best Paper Awards. Served as Member of Board of Studies and Board of Examiners in Alagappa University and Dravidian University. Attended a number of training programmes in the field of Library Automation and Library Software and Skill Development. Member of Professional Associations such as Indian Library Association (ILA), New Delhi, Tamil Nadu Library Association (TLA) and Madras Library Association (MALA).
He Started his professional carrier as Project Assistant in Patent Infos, Chennai (2001-2003), Librarian in Tagore College of Arts and Science, Chennai (2003–2006) and moved to the Society for Electronic Transactions and Security (SETS) since 2006. He also serving as Administrative Officer, Guest House In-charge, Public Information Officer (PIO) and MoU In-charge in SETS. Earlier served as Purchase and Stores Officer (Consumable).
He graduated (B.Com.,) from D.B. Jain College affiliated to University of Madras. Master’s Degree (M.Sc.,) in Library and Information Science (LIS) from University of Madras, M.Phil., in LIS from Annamalai University and Ph.D., in LIS from University of Madras. Also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking (PGDLAN) from Alagappa University. Qualified UGC NET Exam in LIS. Also obtained M.A., in Public Administration from University of Madras and M.Com., and Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PGDPM&IR) from Annamalai University, MBA., in Human Resource Management from Alagappa University and M.C.A., and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) from Madurai – Kamaraj University. Also obtained Diploma in Data Base Management System (DBMS) from Sapthagiri Institute, Chennai, Diploma in Rail Transport and Management from Institute of Rail Transport Management, New Delhi and Diploma in Web Designing from XYZ Axis, Chennai.
