Annual Information Security Summit (AISS 2025), an industry-led conference hosted by Data Security Council of India (DSCI) held during Dec 3-5 2025 at New Delhi.

The session on “Secure Compute & Edge Hardware: Confidentiality & Integrity in the Hardware Path” with the panel members Dr. Chester Rebeiro, Associate Professor, IIT Madras; Rumit S., Founder & Director, JISA Softech; Suganya Annadurai, Scientist – G, Society for Electronic Transactions and Security (SETS); Teja Chintalapati, Principal Manager – Cyber Innovation, DSCI; and Rajesh Kumar D, Cybersecurity Consulting Partner, EY, spoke about how hardware plays a far bigger role in security than most people realize. The session brought much-needed clarity to what confidentiality and integrity truly mean at the hardware level and why they matter for modern security and privacy. It was highlighted that with multiple layers of compute and a growing variety of attacks, securing the hardware foundation is essential. Even minimal changes at the hardware level can help prevent many software issues, strengthening trust in the entire system.
