E. Velmurugan currently serves as a Scientist ‘C’, bringing over 10 years of extensive experience in the field of network and hardware security research and development. He holds a Master of Technology (M. Tech) degree in Computer Science from VIT University.
Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in the design, development, and optimization of robust cybersecurity solutions aimed at addressing complex and evolving threat landscapes. His key contributions include the development of advanced Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) mitigation techniques, high-performance system for traffic inspection, analysis, and intelligent tuning, and integrated threat management system, enabling comprehensive, multi-layered protection by integrating various security capabilities into a unified platform.
Currently, his work is focused on firmware analysis, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing. In this capacity, he specializes in identifying security weaknesses in embedded systems and software environments, conducting in-depth assessments, and implementing proactive measures to enhance system resilience against cyber threats.
